What are the Chances…?

So last night we went to the Nationwide holiday party. Yes I know, Christmas was what … 4 weeks ago? The DJ just happened to be the notorious Brian (whatever his last name is) from the wedding. And the caterer just happened to be the same one we used for the rehearsal dinner. Too weird! The food was not as good as we had. But they did have to drive it there in freezing weather. Brian was pretty funny and he’s a pretty good magician. Mostly card tricks and folding up money and setting it on fire . I talked to him ahead of time and he said he recognized us and remembered the wedding. But the oddest part was when we were leaving a lady was blocking the door and asked us to wait a minute. She mumbled something unrecognizable and then let us go through. But there was nothin’ going on on the other side of the door. So I don’t know what that was all about.

I dreamed later that she had farted on the other side of the door and didn’t want us to go through til it had dissipated.

Just for your entertainment…Things you never knew (or maybe you did) about North Carolina

In ancient times, the eastern half of the state was covered with water and giant sharks roamed the water.Woolly mammoths wandered the land.
In 1718 Blackbeard the pirate is killed off the coast of North Carolina.
In 1776 North Carolina is the 1st state to vote for independance.
In 1799 the first gold nugget found in the United States is found in North Carolina.
Early 1800’s North Carolina becomes known as the “Rip Van Winkle” state because it makes so little progress that it appears to be asleep.

Well then, perhaps they should call North Carolina the boring state!

Hmmmm…….

One North Carolina drawback…

Mutti’s hair will frizz up the moment she thinks about going outside. And I’m just not good at sweating a lot.

Just for Laughs….

10 Good Things about North Carolina…..

1. It’s warmer there.
2. It hardly ever snows there.
3. They have occasional hurricanes. (Possibly not a good thing)
4. They do not have Eastbay.
5. It’s close to the ocean.
6. Every building has air conditioning.
7. It’s only a couple of hours to Washington DC and mountains.
8. People there sit on the porch and drink mint juleps. (Maybe they only do that in my fantasies)
9. The Andy Griffith show took place there. (OK…That’s stretching it)
10. It’s warmer there.

Ok…so they had a few inches of snow today…pileups everywhere…they don’t know how to handle it.

Plus …you get to say words like “y’all ” and “chitlins”…
