Yet Another Editorial…

Dear irresponsible dog owner; What makes you think I want to pick up your dog’s poop from my yard? After all, I already have 2 dogs whose poop I have to pick up. And I pick it up because after all they are my dogs.If it’s an emergency, I understand. My dogs have done the same thing, and if I don’t have anything to pick it up with at least I go back and pick it up later. If you need a shovel, I have one. If you need a bag, I have one. Just ask me! Unfortunately, there are no windows on the side of the house where you think you’re getting away with this stuff. But next time I see you walking your dog in MY yard, I’m unleashing the mean and nasty Caesar. And whatever happens, happens. And I think I’m within my rights to protect my own property. After seeing a couple different dogs, that aren’t mine, pooping in my yard this week, I was thinking about writing a letter to the editor. But they probably would edit it to the point where I end up looking like the bad guy.

Migraines revisited…..

A big thank you to Aaron because he was a saint yesterday during the migraine attack. Next time get a blanket! After doing a little research, it turns out migraines can be brought on by many things including too much bright light and pickled foods. Along with stress. I’ve been telling people for years that I am sensitive to bright light (thus the sunglasses all the time) and I ate a lot of pickles at the funeral luncheon. So that’s what I’ll blame it on. Must find over-the-counter drugs for next time, just in case there is a next time.

Yesterday and today….

Mutti notices she has been away for a few days. So here I am again serving up more drivel. Yesterday I was at my uncle’s funeral. It was a nice funeral, if one can say that about a funeral. The usual assortment of long-lost relatives were there. It was nice to see them again, even under adverse circumstances. Cousins were there that I haven’t seen in many years. Seeing them brings back memories from childhood when life was much simpler, at least it seemed like it. We always looked forward to their visits because they lived in California, and we thought people from California were exciting and they surely must have a much more exciting life style then we did. And when they were around the days were filled up with things to do. Family picnics and swimming. mostly. One of my cousins whom I haven’t seen in proboably 25 years said to me that I hadn’t changed at all. I’m just not sure that’s a good thng! One hopes one has changed in 25 years. Anyway I wish we had kept in closer contact over the years. I miss the days when we had a more extended family. So, must take camera to the family reunion. And take many, many pictures.
Today was not so pleasant. I went to work and had a wicked headache all day. It got worse as the day progressed and Tylenol was useless. I’m not sure how I managed to get the car home in one piece. By the time I got home it was much worse and I was feeling rather nauseous and dizzy. I went to bed and was feeling so miserable all I could do was cry. I cryed for about an hour and then went to sleep. When I woke up I was much better. So I’m chaulking it up to a migraine headache. The last time I had a migraine was about 18 years ago when I was pregnant. And no, I’m not !
