Yet Another Editorial…

You might as well get comfortable… This is a long one!
It’s been at least a month since I complained about that bathroom thing. So it’s time for yet another rant. If I don’t write this one down I think I will explode! Miss Team Lead Not A Real Supervisor was again doing her thing today. Why is it ok for her to smooze all over the place but I can’t go to the bathroom? She was at cigarette break when I got to work today. Then she went to the bathroom 1 hour before her break time. Then she went to her regular break time. And then an hour and 15 minutes later she goes to another cigarette break. Well I guess she’s just too special . Rant #2. Miss Team Lead Not a Real Supervisor’s pet employee had a screen saver on her computer all day of some hunky looking young guy. And she was also touring websites which are supposed to be verboten! I distinctly remember having to sign something saying that I would not change any settings on any computer, not even the resolution. So what’s going on here? It’s not even the customers that make me crazy lately, it’s the employees! And here’s my personal favorite for the month. Customer calls up to complain about not getting her personalized jersey in time for Christmas. We all know my employer can’t deliver on these promises they make. It happens every year! Anyway, back to my story…Agent #1 tells her the jersey will be to her within the week. It’s not. Agent #2 tells her it hasn’t been shipped yet but it’ll be shipped by the end of the month. Agent #3 tells her the other 2 agents were lying and he tells her it was shipped. Agent #4 tells her he is telling the truth and she will have the jersey within the week. He also tells her our company hires less than reputable employees and all the other agents to this point didn”t know what they were talking about. This is where I get her call! Needless to say it was a less than pleasant call.I think I will end it at this point. Even reading my own retelling of the story is wearing me out! But this is the kind of crap I have to deal with.

Let’s all take our Cellcom cell phones and toss them into the street and wait for a car to run over them. After speaking to their customer service person last night to dispute some calls on my bill, I think this seems like a reasonable idea. The calls were made from Monroe county to our house in Wausau. Monroe county is at the very western corner of our calling area. Apparently the call was sent to a tower in Appleton (totally out of our calling plan area) and then back again to Wausau. So let’s review this. The call leaves the phone in the western part of the state, it goes all the way to the eastern part of the state and then back again to the center of the state. Does this make sense? The customer service lady assured me she had no record of where the call originated, just the tower that recieved it. Well, how convenient. And then when I mentioned that we probably would be cancelling our plan due to this whole mess, she started telling me about discounts I could have for buying a new phone. I don’t know, prepaid cell phones sound like a better way to go. By the way, she finally did take the roaming charges off the bill. Goodbye Cellcom.
