Mutti Chronicles

It looks like Mutti has not updated herself lately! And yes I’m still talking about myself in third person…
Sunday…had lunch with son, older son, and older son’s fiancee (there doesn’t seem to be an accent mark key) and waited for husband to come home from his war games.
Monday…Work…Same old, same old. Received many e-mails notifying me that we will NOT be getting any days off during Christmas rush time and we WILL be working extra hours. Yeah, right! That’s what calling in sick is all about.
Tuesday…Same.
Wednesday… Shop, shop, shop. Does anyone else think KMart is a complete dump?
Thursday…Nothing exciting…I discovered the kitty likes to play with drips coming from the bathroom faucet. This explains why he always has wet feet.
Friday…Back to my place of employment. Not a bad day. At least I got to sit next to my friend Ben, who assures me that we’re all going to get fired because we make too much money. And that way my employer can hire replacements and pay them less. He’s completely convinced of this because he got a 24 cent raise and I got a 20 cent raise.
Saturday…Grocery shopping. Discovered that Pick n Save in Weston has really good donuts. Which is surprising because the store in Wausau has awful donuts.

Mutti thinks she has had enough of psycho-babble job interviews. Look, it has reduced Mutti to talking about herself in third person. However it is rather tempting to apply at WPS. Perhaps it is a more relaxing, less stressful atmosphere for Mutti to work in. Hmmmmm….Mutti will ponder this more. In the mean time, Mutti wants a big German Shepherd.

Doggie (Bailey) lays down in her favorite spot next to the sofa to take a nap. Kitty (Digby) follows and lays down behind her and starts to play with her tail. Annoyed, Doggie gets up and moves to a new spot. Kitty follows and again lays down behind her and plays with her tail. Doggie patiently waits for Kitty to stop, but to no avail. Doggie gets up and moves to a new spot. Kitty follows. Repeat steps until Doggie and Kitty have gone around the living room in a kind of a figure 8 and end up right back in the same spot they started in. Doggie finally gives up and goes to a new room. Kitty lays down in Doggie’s favorite nap taking spot. I think Round 1 goes to Kitty!

Riding in the car…and always throwing up on someone’s lap less than a mile after we left home
Going on vacation with us…she always made sure her stuff was packed
Eating french fries
Sitting on the sofa when she thought no one was looking
Staying with Uncle Tom
Walking into the kitchen at exactly 6 o’clock if no one had fed her yet
Sleeping under the table in the dining room

She was always so patient, sitting by the water bowl for hours waiting for someone to fill it..or by the door waiting to go outside.

Thank you Bonnie for giving us so much joy for the past 14 years. You’ve earned your spot in heaven.
