Oh goody…

Not only can I not find any Canadian money, but now I see we’re supposed to have possible severe weather just about the time we need to take the dog to the kennel/pack up the car/do all those things that need to be done before we leave. Well this is nothing new, I keep remembering the time the tornado siren went off at 3 am on the day we were leaving several years ago. As it turned out, the next day was a beautiful day, of course we were exhausted from staying up half the night. We can only hope (that we don’t have to stay up half the night that is).

Nothin’ New…

So far my attempts to be organized for vacation are not going well. I spent an hour trying to buy some Canadian money this morning. None of the banks in this town have any Canadian money. Some of them were willing to order some for me (if I had an account there). Unfortunately that would take 10 days. And some of them simply didn’t want to have anything to do with Canadian money at all.
So I ask you, does this mean the Canadian dollar is pretty much worthless or is it so valuable banks can’t handle it? Somehow I think it’s the former as opposed to the latter.
Well then, we’ll just have to do our money changing at the border.
